Seven-day break for Spring Festival
Adjust font size:

People will have a seven-day holiday for the Spring Festival, the nation's most important holiday for family gatherings, the General Office of the State Council said in a notice yesterday.

With this year's Spring Festival falling on February 7, the week-long golden week will run from February 6 (Wednesday) until February 12 (Tuesday), the notice said.

February 6, 7 and 8 are national holidays falling on week days.

But people have to work on February 2 (Saturday) and February 3 (Sunday) to allow them to have days off on February 11 (Monday) and February 12 (Tuesday), the notice said.
