Cloudy, cold weather ahead after holiday
Adjust font size:

Today was the coldest morning in Shanghai this winter as the temperature plunged to minus 2.4 degrees Celsius downtown, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said.

The bureau said it will likely be colder in the suburbs today, the first work day after the Spring Festival.

It forecast today's high would reach six degrees.

The bureau also forecast cloudy skies for the rest of the week, but that the temperature may start to rise beginning tomorrow.

Tomorrow's low is expected to stay above zero degrees Celsius, it added.
