Red Cloud Hill (Jinyunshan)
With its nine precipitous peaks rising above North Hot Spring Park about fifty kilometers from Chongqing, the natural beauty of this hill has won it the title of the “Lesser Mount Emei” Lion Peak on the hill is often compared to Mount Taishan, which claims China’s most fantastic view of the sunrise. The temperature on the hill is usually five to seven degrees lower than in the city, so it is also a pleasant place to visit in summer. The Red Cloud Temple (Jinyunsi) on the hillside has a history of 1,500 years.
