Expressway in East China Open to Traffic
The 153-kilometer expressway linking two key cities in Anhui Province in east China was opened to traffic yesterday.

The Hefei-Anqing expressway, part of the 830-kilometer highway linking Shanghai and Wuhan, capital of Hubei, was built with an investment of 3.7 billion yuan (US$446 million), including a US$200 million loan from the World Bank.

With the completion of the Hefei-Anqing section project, vehicles are now able to cross the prosperous Yangtze River Delta on the Shanghai-Wuhan highway.
