Liaoning Reports 0.97 billion Yuan Income in Holiday Period

Parks and recreation centers in Liaoning province played host to 2.023 million visitors (person/time) during the week-long Spring Festival period, which ended Wednesday, up by 7.8 percent from the same period last year.

It is learned from Liaoning provincial bureau of tourism, skiing and hot springs are the major attractions of Liaoning province. Liaoning has earned 0.97 billion yuan from tourism during seven-day holiday, an increase of 0.1 billion yuan over the same period of the previous year..

Many people enjoyed in the routes featuring ice and snow. Shenyang Qi Pan Shan ice and snow world received 130 thousand travelers from Jan. 22 to Jan. 28, up 50 percent from the same period last year. Besides, Dalian Anbo Hot Spring, Anshan Tang Gang Zi hot spring, Dandong Wu Long Bei hot spring are also the hottest tourism spots.

It is also learned that visitors to the Dalian Zhonghua fireworks fair and the temple fair in Anshan also surged.

Insiders say more efforts are needed to improve the attractiveness of the region so as to be more competitive with other areas.
