Temples Use Machine to Detect Fake Money

Some monasteries in Sichuan Province, such as Wenshu Temple, have started using anti-counterfeit machines to detect fakes in donation money, reports Tianfu Morning Post.

According to a monk in the renowned Zhaojue Temple in Chengdu, 28 fake notes with a face value of 2,800 yuan (US$340) were detected during the traditional Spring Festival.

Some crooked donors offer fake notes and leave with authentic change money from the temple, causing huge economic losses, said the monk.
