Dalian Airport to Take NE Asian Air Gateway

Dalian Airport has been under construction to take the Northeast Asian air gateway spanning the Pan-Asia economic area as the fan-shaped navigating conflux within 10 years.

In 2005, Dalian Airport is expected to handle passenger transaction of 4.41 million, and the flight sortie of 45,000 annually; in 2010, its passenger transaction will be 7 million, and the sortie of 60,000 per annum, thus becomes one of the top ten domestic airports in China.

Sources from Dalian Airport said the Airport boasts the various competitive advantages.

Firstly, a well-equipped infrastructure facilities in the future: the second phase of airport station with a total investment of 700 million yuan will be completed in 2005. Meanwhile, the new airport address is under debating to cope with the ever-increasing demands in the future.

Secondly, a busy airway network: so far Dalian Airport has handled eighty-three airlines from fifteen airline companies at home and abroad, covered fifty domestic cities and thirteen alien cities in six countries such as Japan, S. Korea and established the regular businesses with HK, Singapore and Euro-America countries.

And the last but not the least, its superiority in management system: Dalian Airport is the first domestic joint-stock airport for civil and military usage in China.

Eventually, the on-going Dalian International Logistics Park will be a significant constructive breakthrough for Dalian Port to become an international navigation logistics center.
