Visa Call Center Soon to Resume Operations

The Shanghai-based phone company running the US Consulate's visa information service will soon resume operations.

The phone charges will be reduced to 36 yuan for every eight minutes, down from 54 yuan for every 12 minutes, said an official with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday.

Shanghai police shut down the Xin'an Information Service Center in April for overcharging customers.
