4. Cherrapunji, India, 1,290 meters above sea level, receives the most largest annual rainfall in the world. But 98 percent of the local rainfall comes from March to October every year, and the left four months only the climate will become rather dry. There is no reservoir for the rainwater storage there. Also for recent global climate change, environmental pollution, deforestation and soil erosion, the locals even can’t get enough water for life in the dry season.
