5.0-magnitude quake hits Hokkaido, Japan region

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted Hokkaido, Japan region at 20:11:31 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 45.30 km, was initially determined to be at 42.6352 degrees north latitude and 144.9152 degrees east longitude.
