Flu facts in Chinese mainland - May 18

Following are the latest facts released by the Ministry of Health Monday about the influenza A(H1N1) epidemic in the Chinese mainland.

Confirmed cases: 3 as of 12:00 a.m. May 18 (one in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, one in Jinan, Shandong Province and one in Beijing)

Suspected cases: 0 as of 12:00 a.m. May 18

The patient in Chengdu was discharged from hospital on Sunday afternoon after doctors confirmed his recovery from the flu. The patients in Jinan and Beijing, both in stable conditions, were still receiving treatment at hospital, the ministry said.
