8,451 A/H1N1 flu cases confirmed worldwide

Japan has confirmed its first domestic case. Turkey and India have also reported their first case. And we have our first case in Beijing, a student who returned from the US on Monday.

The four cases have yet be included in the World Health Organization tally. That tally now stands at over 8400 cases in 37 countries and regions. The W.H.O says confirmed deaths from the virus have grown to 72.

They are in Mexico, the US, Canada and Costa Rica. The US now has the most confirmed cases, over 47-hundred. Mexico has reported close to 29-hundred cases, and Canada, close to 500.
