The third case of A/H1N1 flu has been confirmed in Poland, the country's Chief Sanitary Inspectorate said on Sunday.

Jan Bondar, the spokesman for the state office, said that the 21-year-old man, who returned to Poland on Friday from the United States, is now hospitalized with his parents in a hospital in Chorzow, south west Poland on Sunday.

The American of Polish descent's condition is not serious, Bondar was quoted as saying by Polish news agency PAP.

Previously, a 42 year old man and a 58 year old woman were found to have been infected with the A/H1N1 virus in Poland but are now both recovered.

More than 12,000 A/H1N1 flu cases have been reported in 43 countries and regions with 86 deaths, according to the World Health Organization.
