Chinese mainland reports 27 new A/H1N1 flu cases, total hits 264

Chinese mainland confirmed 27 new A/H1N1 flu cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of infections to 264 with no fatalities.

Southern economic hub Guangdong Province reported nine new cases, while the country's biggest city Shanghai reported eight from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 6 p.m. Wednesday, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the capital Beijing, Guangxi, Guizhou and Fujian each confirmed two new cases, and provinces of Zhejiang and Jiangsu each reported one.

Of all the patients, 114 have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, according to the statement.
