A woman who was admitted to a Hangzhou hospital with the flu did not die from the H1N1 influenza, the China News Service said Thursday, quoting a local health official.

The 34-year-old woman was found dead at 7:35 am Wednesday inside her lavatory at the No.1 People's Hospital in Zhejiang Province, the official Xinhua News Agency earlier reported

"The patient did not die from A(H1N1)," said Zhao Feng, a senior official with the province's health bureau.

"The reason is still under investigation," Zhao added.

The health bureau said it will release further information about the patient's death later on Thursday, the China News Service reported.

The woman was admitted to the hospital on June 23 and was diagnosed with A(H1N1) flu. She was recovering and her temperature was normal for a week, Xinhua reported.
