Influenza A/H1N1 cases exceed 3,000 in Hong Kong

Hong Kong's Department of Health announced Tuesday that there had been 226 newly confirmed cases of Influenza A/H1N1 in the 24 hours to 2:30 p.m., bringing the city's total number of cases to 3,081.

The new cases involved 119 males and 107 females, aged between three months and 85 years, said the department.

So far, 35 confirmed patients were staying in public hospitals for treatment. Among them, 30 cases were in stable condition, one in serious and four in critical conditions.
