Three more A/H1N1 flu victims in Spain

The number of victims from the A/H1N1 virus in Spain rose to 20 on Thursday with the announcement of three new deaths.

Two people, aged 33 and 32 died in the cities of Vigo and Tarragona, while the third death was announced in Seville.

The final death happened a week ago, but the A/H1N1 virus was only confirmed as the cause of death a week later.

Meanwhile, the Spanish Ministry of Health confirmed a slight increase in the incidence of the A/H1N1 flu virus in the country. The week between Aug. 16-22 saw an estimated 15,112 cases, an increase of just 99 on the previous week.

The incidence is 41.17 cases per 100,000 heads of population. Although in the Autonomous Community of Catalunya, it is slightly higher at around 55 cases per 100,000 people.
