Macao reports 5 A/H1N1 newly confirmed cases

Macao reported five newly confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu on Tuesday, bringing the total number of such cases to 3,586 so far.

Of the total confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu, only two patients died after being infected with the virus.

Meanwhile, some 1,250 people in Macao were inoculated with the A/H1N1 flu vaccines on Tuesday alone, and the accumulated number has reached 105,337 since the mass inoculation was initiated by local government in late November last year.

The government of Macao Special Administrative Region previously announced that it has ordered some 700,000 doses of A/ H1N1 vaccines, and local medical staff, children, old people and patients with chronic disease were among the group of local people who were firstly inoculated with these vaccines.
