More countries offer condolences to China over earthquake

World Bank President Robert Zoellick expressed his sympathy and condolences and said the bank is ready to provide support in various forms for China's rebuilding efforts.

Condolence messages also came in from Albanian Ambassador to China Maxhun Peka, Somalian Ambassador to China Mohammed Ahmed Awil and the Bahamian embassy in China.

A 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck southwest China's Sichuan province Monday afternoon, killing more than 12,000 people.
