Sudanese vice president kicks off China tour

Sudanese Vice President Ali Osman Mohammed Taha arrived in Beijing on Monday afternoon, kicking off his official visit to China.

Taha is making the visit at the invitation of Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping. During his stay, Chinese President Hu Jintao will meet with him. Xi will hold official talks with Taha.

It is Taha's third China trip. He once visited China in March 1996 and March 2001.
