Murdered Chinese students named

British police investigating the murder of two Chinese students northern UK city of Newcastle have identified the victims as Zhou Qian, a female student from central China's Hunan Province, and Yang Zhenxing from northeastern China's Dalian city, according to UK press reports.

China's Xinhua News Agency reported that both Zhou and Yang were graduates of Newcastle University.

The students were found dead in separate bedrooms at a flat in Croydon Road, Newcastle on the afternoon of Saturday, August 9. Both had suffered serious head injuries.
