EU FMs meet to discuss situation in Georgia

European Union (EU) foreign ministers gathered in Brussels on Wednesday for an extraordinary meeting on the situation in Georgia.

French Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Bernard Kouchner, whose country is holding the current EU presidency, will give a report to his European counterparts on his visits to Tbilisi, capital of Georgia, and Moscow.

The EU ministers are to analyze the situation, including the humanitarian aspect, and consider the actions to take to promote a rapid solution to the conflict in Georgia.
