The argument which states that the majority of the Muslim in this world is peace loving, is absolutely true. Similarly it is also true, that a minority of Islamic followers are NOT peace loving. In fact they are not only not peace loving, they actively want to kill, rape and convert every one or everything opposed to their own specific brand of Islam, even followers of their own religion but different denominations. Shockingly even among the arguably peace loving majority, sympathetic feelings ranging from 7/7 bombings, to Sharia law to ISIS is incredibly high. In fact, there is so much research proving the myth of a "tiny radical" minority to be a well propagated falsehood.

In this day and time, however, unfortunately a huge minority of one of the biggest religion in this world, is not just a religion, but a major death cult. They are acting like a violent gang, with their own law, no codes, judicial system, and retributive justice against perceived wrongs, without any civilized notions of justice, and fair play. Leaders like Anjem Choudary walk freely in the streets in London, calling for Shariah law in western cities, has followers vigil in parts of Luton, beating up boys and girls holding hands, taking advantage of the same democracy against which they have declared a war.

It is an ongoing war between cultures, not just a war on terror anymore…this insidious ideology is spreading, and it transcends boundaries of geopolitics. Any effort to prove otherwise smells of intellectual dishonestly or activism with a blatant political motive.

The second argument was about Charlie Hebdo being racist. Freedom of speech and expression is not just about being sensitive to other culture. It is having a right to be offensive. Modern society hinges on the basic premise of being respectful to everyone, regardless of their opinion. That is also the biggest problem. It is perfectly reasonable to mock, ridicule, vilify, degrade and even subvert any established opinion, going short of physical harm, slander or libel. No ideology except totalitarian Fascism, regardless on which side of the political spectrum it is, would want to take away that right.

If one reads the history of Charlie Hebdo, then one would realize it is the most leftist magazine publication in entire France. Right from the seventies, Charlie Hebdo has mocked and ridiculed power and the establishment. It has ridiculed every religion, in the most scalding, militant atheist way possible.

The worst part of the response to the deaths is the media self-censorship that followed. The fact that some media organizations refused to republish the Charlie Hebdo cartoons, was basically due to a simple fact: they were cowards. If these cartoons were against Christianity or Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism or Judaism, they wouldn't have thought twice before publishing them. But the fact that these cartoons, might upset a "negligible minority" of one single religion, which might result on retaliation and murderous rampage, is why these mighty editors of the "land of the free and home of the brave" went cold turkey. They conveniently forgot that Charlie Hebdo needlessly offended everyone, from every religion, from every race of thinking primates inhabiting this planet. That's what a satire magazine does, that's their job.
