The relations between China and South Korea has been elevated to new heights as Chinese Premier Li Keqiang started his first official visit to South Korea on Saturday, drawing wide media attention.

South Korean President Park Geun-hye has met with Chinese President Xi Jinping six times on her three visits to China since assuming office in early 2013, giving a glimpse into the increasingly warm relations between the two East Asian neighbors.

The economic and trade exchanges between China and South Korea get high record constantly in recent years. By the measures of joining AIIB and signing the FTA between China and South Korea, South Korea has deepened the economic and trade relationship between the two countries. There are a lot of similarities between the Eurasia Initiative proposed by South Korea and the "Belt and Road" initiative facilitated by China. The closer cooperation between the two countries is a win-win result for both countries.

Park paid a state visit to China during the military parade in September in Beijing, which is to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of the World Anti-Fascist War and the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. This event attracted wide attention from Chinese and South Korean media. After two months, Premier Li visited South Korea and it showed the closer relations between China and South Korea in the aspects of foreign affairs, economy and trade.

During Park's visit to China in September, both the remarks made at a press conference at the Blue House in Seoul and a public opinion poll suggested that the people of South Korea care the most whether the cooperation between the two countries in diplomacy and economy can climb to a higher level.

Park held talks with President Xi and Premier Li in her September visit. Her delegation of 156 members, including 128 entrepreneur representatives, received wide attention because it was the biggest economic delegation in the history of the two countries' exchanges. Now, Li's South Korea visit will be a continuation of deepening cooperation between China and South Korea in diplomacy, economy and trade.
