The small forward from Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA led the U.S. to its first FIBA World Championship since 1994. Without LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Kobe Bryant or any other members of the Olympic team that won the gold medal at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics, the U.S. finished 9-0 behind Durant, who averaged 22.7 points per game and totaled 99 points in the final three games.

At 21, Durant is already a leading scorer in the NBA and was selected Most Valuable Player of the 2010 FIBA World Championships.
