Anti-doping facts and figures at Beijing Olympics

Following are the facts and figures about doping control during the Beijing Olympic Games.

Aug. 23 - Ukrainian weightlifter Igor Razoronov was expelled from the Games after the 38-year-old tested positive for the steroid nandrolone. He finished sixth in the 105-kilogram division.

Aug. 22 - The International Olympic Committee formally stripped Blonska of her silver medal and cancelled her result in the long jump qualifying round.

Aug. 21 - The IOC provisionally suspended Blonska after confirming she used the banned steroid Methyltestosterone.

A total of 4,620 tests took place including 3,681 urine and 939 blood tests.

Aug. 20 - Fifth doping case exposed that Ukraine's Lyudmila Blonska, heptathlon silver medalist in Beijing, was tested positive.

As of Aug. 19, 4,133 tests were carried out covering 3,292 urine and 841 blood samples.

Aug. 19 - The IOC formally expelled Chalkia after her B sample confirmed the existence of banned substance Methyltrienolone and asked the Greek authorities to investigate Chalkia's coach George Panagiotopoulos for possible anti-doping rule violation.

Aug. 18 - The number of tests reached 3,667 covering 2,905 urine and 762 blood samples.

Aug. 17 - Athens Olympics 400m hurdles champion Hani Chalkia of Greece revealed to the media that her doping test returned positive.

Aug. 15 - The number of doping tests increased to 2,203, covering 1,720 urine and 483 blood samples.

Aug. 15 - Kim Jong-su of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was stripped of the silver and bronze medals he won in shooting events after testing positive for beta-blocker drugs and Vietnamese female gymnast Do Thi Ngan Thuong also failed a drug test.

Aug. 12 - Over 1,500 doping tests were carried out, covering urine and blood samples and during pre- and post-competition

Aug. 11 - Spanish cyclist Maria Isabel Moreno was tested positive for EPO and was expelled from the Games.

July 27 - Olympic period doping control starts.
