China, the Rome world championships winner of the women's 4x200m freestyle relay, won the gold of the event at Guangzhou Asian Games on Tuesday.

The hosts dominated the whole race to clock seven minutes and 51.81 seconds, while Japan trailed in 7:55.92 for the silver.

South Korea took the bronze in 8:07.78.
