Brazil's mixed martial arts middleweight champion Anderson Silva has revealed his enthusiasm at taking on American Chris Weidman on July 6.
Silva, 37, has not fought since a first-round knockout victory over Stephan Bonnar in October but says he is bristling at the prospect of taking on the 28-year-old American in Los Vegas.
"I am very excited at the thought of competing again in the UFC," Silva said on Saturday.
"I have never stopped training. I like my life and what I do so it's not hard to motivate myself."
During his time off, the Brazilian has dedicated time to his fledgling Hollywood acting career and the launch of a mixed martial arts academy in Los Angeles.
Silva is considered the world's best pound-for-pound mixed martial artist and has not lost a professional bout since 2006.
