Beijing Ducks fined for their fans'improper conduct.

The Beijing Ducks have been fined 40,000 yuan (US$6,438) for their fans'improper conduct during Game 4 of the Chinese Basketball Association finals at Wukesong Arena in the capital on Wednesday.

The Ducks beat the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 94-88 to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven CBA finals. However, Beijing supporters hooted Xinjiang players, as well as the away fans, throughout the game.

"Some fans used improper words to humiliate athletes, which is against the CBA's court manners," the CBA said in a letter to all clubs yesterday. It issued a 40,000-yuan fine as well as a warning to Beijing. The Ducks will clinch this year's title, and their second, if they win today's Game 5 at home.
