The Nets will face the Kings on Oct. 12 in Shanghai and on Oct. 15 in Beijing as part of the NBA Global Games 2014.

Reigning National Basketball Association champion Miami and current season win leader San Antonio will be among five teams to play worldwide preseason games this October, the league announced yesterday.

China, Germany, Brazil and Turkey will host exhibitions ahead of the start of the 2014-2015 campaign with the league also saying international regular-season games will be announced at a later date.

The Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers and Sacramento Kings will join the Heat and the Spurs in the global travel.

Brooklyn and Sacramento will meet on October 12 in Shanghai and three nights later in Beijing.

The Spurs will face eight-time German champion Alba Berlin on October 8 in Berlin and play five-time Turkish champion Fenerbahce three nights later in Istanbul.

Also on October 11, the Heat will meet Cleveland in Rio de Janeiro in only the second NBA game ever in South America. It will give Cavaliers' standout Anderson Varejao the chance to play in front of his home-nation supporters.

"As the passion for the game continues to grow globally we are focused on finding unique and meaningful ways to connect with fans worldwide," said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

On the courts, the Indiana Pacers defeated the lowly Milwaukee Bucks 104-102 despite coach Frank Vogel's decision to bench all of his starters for the entire game on Wednesday.

Chris Copeland's go-ahead basket with one second left gave the win to the struggling Pacers who had lost eight of their last 11 games.

All stars Paul George and Roy Hibbert, guards George Hill and Lance Stephenson and power forward David West all skipped the game against the Bucks.

The victory allowed the Pacers to move a half-game ahead in the standings of the two-time defending league champion Heat, who Indiana faces today.

With the regular season winding down, top spot in the Eastern Conference will be on the line in Miami.

Elsewhere, it was: Magic 115, Nets 111; Bobcats 94, Wizards 88 (in overtime); Cavaliers 122, Pistons 100; Raptors 125, 76ers 114; Hawks 105, Celtics 97; Bulls 102, Timberwolves 87; Grizzlies 107, Heat 102; Suns 94, Pelicans 88; Nuggets 123, Rockets 116; Trail Blazers 100, Kings 99; and Thunder 107, Clippers 101.
