Guangzhou Evergrande shrug off ACL misery to crush Liaoning.

Elkeson netted a hat-trick as defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande maintained their six-point lead at the top of the Chinese Super League (CSL) following a devastating 6-0 victory over lowly Liaoning.

Elkeson opened the scoring midway through the first half before Alessandro Diamanti made it 2-0 at the break. Elkeson added his second and third goals of the match at each end of the second half - either side of efforts by Rene Junior and Alberto Gilardino. The result leaves Liaoning struggling in second bottom, while Evergrande reached 54 points at the top.

Six points further back, Beijing Guoan claimed a 2-0 victory over Harbin Yiteng thanks to a double brace from Dejan Damjanovic to leave bottom side Harbin four points adrift.

Shanghai Greenland Shenhua and Shanghai East Asia drew 1-1 at Hongkou Football Stadium last night in the city's last derby of this year's Super League.

Hangzhou Greentown recorded a 3-1 home win over Jiangsu Sainty to move above Shanghai Shenxin into 11th thanks to brace from Anselmo Ramon after Davy Angan's opener, with Elias on target for the visitors.

Liu Binbin and Dai Lin handed Shandong Luneng a 2-1 win at Henan Jianye with Zhang Lu's second-half equaliser proving not enough, while Yang Xu scored the only goal of the game as Changchun Yatai saw off Guizhou Renhe 1-0.
