Didier Drogba sweeps in Chelsea's second from the penalty spot.

Chelsea crushed Slovenian champions Maribor 6-0 in their European Champons League Group G match at Stamford Bridge here on Tuesday.

Eden Hazard scored twice while Loic Remy, Didier Drogba, John Terry and a Mitja Viler own goal completed the rout and kept Chelsea's unbeaten run this season intact.

Remy put Chelsea ahead in the 13th minute by driving home a left-foot effort from the edge of the area. But he was injured and replaced by Didier Drogba three minutes later.

The Cote d'Ivoire striker made it 2-0 with a penalty kick, which was his 43rd Champions League goal.

It was Drogba's first Chelsea goal since his decisive strike in the 2012 Champions League final and his 158th Blues goal in 342 appearances.

Captain John Terry slided home Cesc Fabregas' low cross in the 31st minute to make it 3-0.

Mitja Viler's own goal handed the Chelsea a fourth goal in the 54th minute before Hazard scored the fifth from a penalty. The Belgian international then added a sixth a minute before time.

Chelsea, who drew at home with Schalke and beat Sporting Lisbon in the second match, led Group G with seven points, followed by Schalke with two draws and one win.

Schalke defeated Sporting 4-3 in the day's other Group G match.
