China Meets Denmark in Badminton Semi-Finals

China and hosts Denmark will showdown at the badminton Denmark Open men's singles semi-finals.

Veterans Chen Hong and Chen Yu will square off with Kenneth Jonassen and European top player Peter Gade respectively in the semi-final stage of the competition.

The Danish players are expected to be propelled by strong home support.

In the women's singles semis, China's youngsters Jiang Yanjiao and Lu Lan have both moved on, while qualifier Cai Jiani fell at the hurdle to wind up her run at the tournament.

Jiang will face veteran Yao Jie of the Netherlands, who reached the semis at the cost of Cai Jiani.

Lu Lan is to take on home sweetheart Tina Rasmussen.

Chinese shuttlers failed to reach the semi-finals for both the men's and women's doubles as well as the mixed doubles.
