Located in Nanchang Economic and Technological Development District, Jiangxi Agricultural University is characterized by teaching and research in agriculture and bio-technology as well as the sciences, arts, economics, management and laws. It operates 16 schools and is one of the first universities in China that is entitled to award bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees.
The history of the university can be traced back to 1940. Jiangxi Agricultural University has always attached great importance to teaching and research and has achieved great progress in talent training, scientific research and social service. It features one National Laboratory, and two Key Laboratories of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Until now, the university has not only yielded 44 research breakthroughs, including a new strain of rice, but also witnessed publication of more than 320 works or teaching materials, more than 3,400 papers and more than 130 research results published in some of the world’s most famous scientific information citation indexes such as SCI, EI and ISTP.
