Directed by Tim Burton, "Edward Scissorhands" is a romantic fantasy film first released in 1990. It tells the story of an uncommonly gentle young man named Edward who happens to have scissors for hands. He falls in love with a beautiful teenage girl named Kim. The film was not only a financial success, but also received the positive feedback from critics. Burton also considers "Edward Scissorhands" as his favorite work.
The movie was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Makeup as well as British Academy Film Awards and Saturn Awards. It won the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation.
