Dimitrios Loundras was a Greek gymnast who competed as a member of the Ethnikos Gymnastikos Syllogos team during the 1896 Olympics in Athens. The team placed third in the event, which earned him a bronze medal. At the age of 10 and 218 days he now still remains the youngest medalist and competitor in Olympic history. The 13-year-old Marjorie Gestring is the youngest female Olympic champion, winning gold in a 3-meter springboard dive for the U.S. at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
