Founded in 1989, SANY Group is China's largest construction machinery maker. The company, ranked 6th in the world, mainly produces concrete machinery, road construction machinery, excavators, crawler cranes, truck cranes, pile driving machinery, port machinery and wind turbines. Its core subsidiary, Sany Heavy Industry, went public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2003. Sanyi, headquartered in Changsha, capital city of Hunan Province, has five industrial bases in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenyang, Kunshan and Changsha. It owns 21 overseas operation offices, with its businesses spreading to 150 countries. Sanyi's total assets amounted to 82.8 billion yuan (US$13.1 billion) by the end of 2011. It reported 6.2 billion yuan (US$984.1 million) in net profits in 2011. SANY Group was ranked 138th among the top 500 Chinese companies in 2012. Sany Heavy Industry was ranked 997th on Forbes' Global 2000 list in 2012.
