Located in Meihua Township, Sihong County of Jiangsu Province, the site covers a total area of 175,000 square meters. The history of the site can be traced back 8300 years ago.

After several excavations, researchers have unearthed 92 tombs, 26 pits, 5 house sites and more than 400 pieces of pottery, stone, jade and bone. The discovery of the site is an archeological breakthrough that sheds light on the prehistoric cultural genealogy along the middle and lower reaches of the Huaihe River.
