Mianyang is the second largest city in Sichuan province as well as the only scientific and technology city approved by the State Council. It is also one of China's major centers for the electronics industry, having famous enterprises and institutions such as the China Academy of Engineering Physics. Besides, with an investment-friendly environment and a natural scenery, it will attract more investors and talents from other places. The average housing price is relatively low, but it will soon reach 4,000 yuan (US$652) or higher per month.
