Located on the National Mall in Washington DC, the Lincoln Memorial was built to commemorate Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States. A large seated sculpture of Lincoln is located in the central hall. The memorial also houses inscriptions of two of Lincoln's well-known speeches, The Gettysburg Address and his Second Inaugural Address. The Reflecting Pool is situated on the National Mall too, and is the largest reflecting pool in Washington, D.C.
