Along the coast of the Great Lakes, the Chicago-centered urban agglomeration clustered around the Great Lakes includes the cities of Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland and Pittsburgh in the U.S. and Toronto and Montreal in Canada. Incorporating over 20 cities with populations exceeding 1 million each, the region is the major manufacturing center of North America.
