Located in Sichuan province, Mount Emei is one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains of China. Over the centuries, many cultural treasures have emerged in the area, with the Leshan Giant Buddha perhaps being the most remarkable. The stone sculpture is the tallest Buddha statue in the world with a height of 71 meters. Mount Emei Scenic Area is also home to a diverse range of vegetation from subtropical to subalpine pine forests.
