Changchun, the capital of northeast China's Jilin province, is one of China's four major national garden cities. It has hosted the annual Changchun Jingyuetan International Vasaloppet Ski Festival since 2003, attracting over 80,000 participants.

The city has introduced a series of diversified ice and snow tourism products and festive activities such as hot-air balloon trips inside local snow parks, ice lantern fairs, and hot spring-related winter leisure activities. During the recent Spring Festival holiday, Changchun received 5.38 million visits and generated 5.21 billion yuan in tourism revenue.
