Hainan Tourism Group is planning nine key projects to change the current pattern of tourism in Hainan, which is strong in the south and east of the island, and weak in the north and west.
The nine projects include sea tours and Xisha tours, Changjiang Qiziwan Tourist Resort, Bawangling Tropical Rainforest Park, Mingzhu Plaza and duty free shops, a tourism support program for the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center, Yanuoda tourism infrastructure investment program, a tourism lottery, and recreational vehicle camping grounds.
According to an official of Hainan Tourism Group, it is also preparing to launch the development of a Hainan Tourism Industry Fund, a sports lottery, an ocean park, a large-scale mangrove, tourist attraction and other programs.
