Longhu Mountain, literally Dragon Tiger Mountain, is famous for its Danxia Landform. It has 99 hills and 24 large boulders. Guifeng is said to be a perfect place to go hiking.
Set against the blue sky, white clouds, clear water and green trees, Longhu Mountain presents a picturesque scene. The Luxi River runs along mountains, forests, stones and bamboo groves.
Longhu Mountain is the birthplace of Taoism, with many Taoist temples built on the mountainside. It also has cultural significance because it was a historical burial site of the Guyue people, who placed their dead in hanging coffins on cliff faces.
Transport: Fly to Jide Town in Jiangxi Province from Shenzhen International Airport and take a bus to Longhu Mountain. It takes about five hours.
Accommodation: There is a wide selection of hotels, hostels and inns. The Longhushan Hotel at the scenic spot is popular with visitors.
