Northern Tibetan Plateau
Covering two-thirds of the autonomous region, the Northern Tibetan Plateau is located among the Kunlun, Tanggula and Kangdese mountains. It is not only the haven for wild plantations and animals, but also rich in culture and history. In this boundless plateau, visitors can see flocks of yaks and sheep scatter onto the grassland. Wherever you look, the tents herdsmen live in can be found everywhere. There are ancient rock paintings, relics of ancient Xiangxiong Kingdom, Mani stone piles, Buddhist sutra streamers and old Buddhist pagodas. The famous Tang-Tibet ancient road runs through the north and south.
