Location: Zhangjiakou city, north China's Hebei province

Set to be a major competition zone offering five venues for the snow events of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, Chongli district in Zhangjiakou boasts seven skiareas, offering plenty of slopes with high-quality facilities.

The resort boasts 169 ski trails, clocking in at a total length of 162 kilometers, 15 of which have been certified by the InternationalSki Federation. There are also 67 cableways stretching 44.5 kilometers long. Out of the seven skiareas, four — Genting, Thaiwoo, Wanlong, and Fulong — are among China's top 10 ski resorts.

Chongli is an ideal location for skiing close to Beijing. The Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway has reduced the travel time between the two cities to 47 minutes and its branch line -  Chongli railway - is now also in service.
