Guyuan Museum is one of the 70 important museums of China designated by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. 

Guyuan Museum is one of the 70 important museums of China designated by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.

Established on Dec 30, 1983, it is a provincial and comprehensive museum combining historical relic collection, scientific research, exhibition, publicity and education. It covers a building area of 13,000 square meters, consisting of three parts, respectively Exhibition Area, Office Area and Service Area. It has over 14,000 historical relics, including 123 first grade cultural relics and three national historical relics.

The exhibition area consists of Exhibition Building, Bell Pavilion, Ancient Tombs Restoration Hall and Stone Carving. The Exhibition Building comprises two parts, Guyuan historical relics exhibition and a theme exhibition "Silk Road in Guyuan", together displaying over 1,000 relics.
