Ningxia will launch a seven-day festival in Hong Kong to promote trade, culture and tourism on May 28. The event will be one of Ningxia's biggest economic and trade activities outside the region and will become the focus of its push for investment in 2011, said Wang Zhengwei, chairman of the People's Government of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

During the event, Wang will meet Hong Kong's chief executive Donald Tsang, heads of central government offices in Hong Kong, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, and executives from well-known companies. The festival will feature promotional conferences for international trade and tourism, and a Ningxia trade exhibition.

Wang also said preparations are complete for Ningxia's "Saudi Arabia Week" festival, which will kick off in Saudi Arabia in July.
