Over 10,000 buyers and more than 400 exhibitors are expected to take part in the sixth China International Halal Food and Muslim Products Show (CIHAS 2011), which will kick off on September 19 in Yinchuan, capital city of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and last for 5 days.

The international trade show was intended to provide a business platform to showcase halal food, Muslim products and Islamic services catering to the fast-growing global market, said the organizing committee in a statement Tuesday.

China's Ministry of Commerce has decided to upgrade the traditional halal show to a professional trade show intending to explore the vast potential of halal food industry.

The China-Arab States Expo will also be held during the halal show, said the committee.
